Meet the Board

Athena Short

President

Athena Bannister Short is a third-generation All Saints camper, community builder, and advocate for connection-centered care. She currently serves as the Development Strategist for the , where she works to engage, educate, and empower communities through harm reduction principles that meet people where they are. In her role, Athena collaborates closely with organizational leadership on grant-funded initiatives, community events, fundraising, sustainability efforts, and volunteer engagement, while also integrating mindfulness and wellness practices into her work.

A cradle Episcopalian, Athena was baptized and raised at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Louisville, Kentucky. After St. John’s closed its doors, her family found a new church home at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, thanks in large part to friendships formed through All Saints. Like many young adults, Athena spent time exploring life outside of the institutional church while continuing to live out the values of compassion and service that shaped her upbringing. In 2025, she returned to active parish life at Christ Church Cathedral, drawn by the Episcopal Church’s commitment to harm reduction, community care, and radical welcome.

Athena’s connection to All Saints began in infancy. She attended her first camp session in second grade and remained deeply involved throughout her youth, serving on Youth Council and later as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT). For her family, All Saints was more than a summer destination—it was a second home. Countless weekends were spent on the grounds, building relationships, making memories, and strengthening a lifelong connection to the camp community.

When asked about her favorite All Saints memory, Athena finds it impossible to choose just one. As a homeschooled child in the 1990s, All Saints provided a unique opportunity to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The friendships she formed there became the foundation for years of connection beyond camp, inspiring Halloween parties at St. John’s, reunions with camp friends, and a lifelong appreciation for authentic community. More than anything, All Saints taught her the value of belonging, listening deeply, and engaging in meaningful conversations across differences.

Athena chose to serve on the Friends of All Saints Board because she believes deeply in preserving the legacy of this sacred place for future generations. Through her work and lived experience, she sees many people longing for opportunities to reconnect—with themselves, with one another, with nature, and with God. All Saints offers exactly that. Whether someone arrives with a strong faith practice or none at all, they are welcomed as they are and invited into community.

One of Athena’s favorite camp songs is The Garden Song, whose lyrics have become something of a life philosophy: “Inch by inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow.” She carries that spirit into all aspects of her life, planting seeds of connection, compassion, and belonging wherever she goes.

Aaron Noon

Treasurer

All Saints has been a part of Aaron's life for as long as he can remember. His family has been connected to the camp and conference center since its inception, and all four of his siblings attended camp and later served as counselors. The values, friendships, and experiences gained through All Saints have remained an important part of his life ever since.

Professionally, Aaron works in the technology industry as a Specialized Sales Executive with Lumen Technologies. He is also an active member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and volunteers with the American Red Cross as part of the Disaster Action Team, helping support communities during times of crisis.

Some of Aaron's favorite memories of All Saints involve the simple joys of camp life: exploring the woods, fishing behind the chapel with Reid Johnson during afternoon free time, and building friendships that lasted long after camp ended. Like many camp alumni, he still finds himself randomly singing songs learned at All Saints over the years.

Aaron chose to serve on the Friends of All Saints Board after attending a reunion event and recognizing both the needs and opportunities facing the camp. He believes strongly in preserving and strengthening All Saints so future generations can experience the same sense of adventure, community, faith, and belonging that shaped his own life. He is grateful for the opportunity to support the future of a place that has meant so much to his family for generations.

Ally Mason

Secretary

Ally believes that some of the most meaningful moments in life happen when we slow down and make space for God, community, and rest. As the owner of Sunshine Electrolysis, she is dedicated to helping others feel confident and cared for through her work.

A devoted member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisville, Kentucky, Ally is actively involved in many areas of parish life. She serves on the altar guild, is a lay eucharistic minister and visitor, trains crucifers, and is a member of the vestry. She is also a former choir member and previously led both the welcome and pastoral care committees.

Although she has attended only three retreats at All Saints, the experience left a lasting impression. She quickly fell in love with the beauty and peace of the space. One of her favorite memories is sitting under the stars after the campfire had burned down, feeling deeply connected to God and surrounded by a sense of holy stillness.

Ally chose to serve on the Friends of All Saints Board because she wants others to experience the same sense of rest, renewal, and spiritual connection that she found there. She is passionate about helping ensure that All Saints continues to thrive and remains a place of welcome, reflection, and ministry for generations to come.

Kayleigh Stewart

Program Planner

Kayleigh is honored to serve on the Friends of All Saints Board. A professional dance educator for more than 20 years, she is passionate about creating safe, enriching, and joyful experiences for children, youth, and families.

In addition to being a mom, Kayleigh serves on the board of Dance Masters of the Bluegrass, is the Artistic Director of Village Dance Company, and teaches and choreographs at Upstage Dance Centre in Louisville, Kentucky.

Her connection to All Saints runs deep. After growing up attending camp and later serving as a counselor during the Bates and Ed years, she continued her commitment to youth development by helping create camp programs on Long Island, New York, for inner-city youth. She also co-founded Jeté, a summer dance program in Brooklyn, New York, alongside the incredible Tamia Santa. What began as a summer program grew into a successful year-round dance studio offering after-school and summer programming that supported local youth and working families.

The words of Anthem—“We are called, we are chosen, we are Christ for one another”—continue to guide and inspire her. As a member of Friends of All Saints, she is excited to share her experience, creativity, and love for community while helping create meaningful opportunities for old friends and new generations to experience the magic of All Saints.

Brittany Fiero

Philanthropy Coordinator

Brittany Fiero is honored to serve on the Friends of All Saints Board. She currently serves as Alumni Coordinator for the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and previously spent nearly a decade as a Recreational Therapist in healthcare settings. Outside of work, she is the creator of Her Mise En Place, a food blog where she shares recipes and stories inspired by her love of cooking and gathering around the table.

Brittany's connection to All Saints began when her friend Brandon B. invited her to attend camp as a ninth grader. What started as a single summer experience quickly became a defining part of her life. She spent every summer at All Saints, eventually serving as a counselor and staff member through college. Through those years, she found a true sense of community, unconditional love, and belonging. Her experiences at All Saints ultimately led her to be confirmed and join the Episcopal Church.

Some of Brittany's favorite All Saints memories are the simple moments that made camp so special: singing Johnny Appleseed before meals, eating tacos around a campfire during campouts, counselor trips to Walmart and Dairy Queen on nights off, proudly passing swim tests, learning to canoe, and even the time Nurse Maggie had to take her to the doctor after a hiking injury. She also treasures a post-Hurricane Katrina mission trip to New Orleans with Former Director Ben and fellow counselors. The experience was eye-opening and strengthened her sense of gratitude, empathy, and understanding of God's grace and love.

Brittany serves on the Friends of All Saints Board because she believes deeply in the transformative impact of the camp and wants to help ensure future generations experience the same sense of belonging, faith, and renewal that shaped her life. She is grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with lifelong friends and fellow alumni. She especially enjoys sharing All Saints with her husband and two children as they experience the same spirit of welcome and community that has meant so much to her.
